Current Progress at Sparks Lake Activity Center

The Sparks Lake Activity Center is actively moving forward. While full development is still in planning, the site is now established, visible, and beginning to host community activity.

📍 Site Presence Established

A large-format SLAC entrance sign has been installed at the front of the property, mounted on a 4x8 structure elevated approximately 10 feet for clear visibility over the fence line.

The sign includes a QR code allowing visitors to instantly connect to the project online and follow development updates.

🏀 Basketball Court Now Active

The basketball court and gymnasium are now open for scheduled use and are currently accepting reservations for practices, events, and community gatherings.

This marks the first active phase of the Activity Center returning to use.

🔒 Property Secured

The entire property is enclosed with a cyclone fence, providing a defined and secure perimeter.

Two gated access points have been established, allowing controlled entry as development progresses.

🛠️ Planning & Development Phase

Site planning and future development design are actively underway. This includes layout planning for outdoor recreation areas, expanded facilities, and long-term community programming.

Each phase is being developed with a focus on sustainability, accessibility, and long-term community impact.

Building the Sparks Lake Activity Center

This project is actively moving forward. Each step below reflects real progress being made on-site as we restore and bring the Activity Center back into use for the community.

Established

Property Secured & Visible

The site is fully enclosed with cyclone fencing and gated access. A raised 4x8 SLAC sign has been installed at the front, clearly visible from the roadway with a QR code linking visitors to live project updates.

Completed

Lighting Upgrades

Interior and exterior lighting has been upgraded across the main building, improving visibility, safety, and readiness for events and evening use.

In Progress

Air Conditioning System Repair

HVAC work is currently underway, including replacement of a failed motor and system repairs. This step is critical to restoring full comfort and usability of the facility.

Now Active

Basketball Court in Use

The court is now hosting scheduled practices, events, and community use. This marks the first phase of the Activity Center returning to life.

Next Priority

Restroom Facilities Needed

The next major step is establishing restroom facilities to support events and daily use.

We are actively seeking support for a building, modular unit, or materials to make this possible.
